Start with the protein

They can be used morning and night, indefinitely, without a tolerance-building ramp.
They are also collaborative. Peptides pair well with niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, ceramides and antioxidants. The one genuine caution is formulation, not conflict: very low pH environments — a fresh layer of a strong direct acid — are not where you want a delicate peptide sequence to land. Separate them by time of day and the question disappears.
How to layer a peptide serum
Apply to clean, slightly damp skin, before anything heavier. A serum is a delivery vehicle; it needs contact with skin, not with the film left by an oil or balm. Two to three drops, pressed rather than dragged, across the face and down the neck.
Follow with moisturiser to seal. In the morning, finish with sun protection — not because peptides create sensitivity, but because ultraviolet exposure dismantles collagen faster than any topical can rebuild it. Photoprotection is what makes the peptide investment hold.
Then leave it alone. The most common reason a peptide routine appears not to work is that it was replaced at week five by something newer.
